Skiathos island has around 20 taxi cabs, that are available 24 hours a day and will take you anywhere buses wont. The taxi terminal is located on the port, between the elementary school and the main port where the ferry\u2019s arrive. Waving at a taxi anywhere will let the driver know you need his services and if available they will stop, otherwise appointments can be made by calling the number below:

Bus<\/h4>\n

The bus route in Skiathos connects Skiathos Town to Koukounaries. Around 14 kilometers long, the trip is around half an hour servicing 24 bus stops: During the peak season, buses depart every 20 minutes and run from early in the morning until after midnight. Also, during the peak season, it is better to avoid getting the bus to town between the afternoon and early evening (17:00-19:00), as the buses can be very crowded.
